Tri-Harder-Thon features kayaking, running and biking

Saturday saw some gray weather but that didn’t stop the participants in the Subway Tri-Harder-Thon, Seward’s first adventure challenge, from kayaking, running and biking on a course from Kenai Lake to 4th of July Creek on the east side of Resurrection Bay.

The competitors kayaked for 5 miles, ran on a trail for 6.3 miles and peddled on bikes for 18.6 miles.

Men’s Top Finishers

1) Frederick Dickerson, 33 of Homer, total time 2:51:04

2) Justin Neff, 29 of Anchorage, 2:59:27

3) Alex Alonso, 39 of Anchorage, 3:05:28

Women’s top finishers

1) Tekla Seavey, 23 of Seward, 3:31:42

2) Sarah Riley, 35 of Soldotna, 3:43:56

3) Angela Brown, 37 of Seward, 3:47:27
