The Seward Mural Society gets a glimpse of the design for the upcoming mural that has been selected to be painted for Seward’s sister city, Obihiro, Japan. The master artist for the project is Justine Pechuzal. The Mural Society will paint a half size of the mural during the Seward Music and Arts Festival in September. The intent is to benefit from the process as a sort of dress rehearsal for the one the society will do in Obihiro, and to acquaint Sewardites with the project in Japan in 2013. The society anticipates that Seward’s exchange programs will use the mural for photo shoots both here and in Obihiro.
