Rose Mary Jensen

 

Rose Mary Jensen, 82, passed away at Kenosha Memorial Hospital on June 14, 2012 in Kenosha, Wisc.

Born in San Diego, Calif. on June 21, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Colin and Elizabeth Ogden. She is survived by her husband Marvin and five children Deborah (Zarko) Radovanovic, Jeffrey (Paula) Jensen, Rhonda Milton, Marcus (Susanne) Jensen and Angela Houser. She is also survived by a brother, Richard (Nancy) Ogden, sister Elizabeth L. Ogden, ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Ogden and Fred Ogden.

When Rose was 13 she found herself in Pearl Harbor when it was attacked by the Japanese. Her father was an officer in the Army and was stationed there. She also went with her father to Whittier, Alaska in 1949.

She was married to Marvin Jensen in 1952 in Wisconsin where they lived until they moved to Seward in 1976.

Rose worked at Nana’s Nuggets for many years and is known as Grandma Rose. She also worked at Seward General Hospital in the kitchen for a few years.

Rose loved to bake and her grandchildren could always count on Grandma’s cookie jar being full.

She was a member of Resurrection Luthern Church and felt the comfort of the Lord by her side.

Rose enjoyed to bowl and she loved going to her “sewing circle.” She also enjoyed reading and watching movies, especially the old classic type.

She will be dearly missed.

At Rose’s request there will be no funeral. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
