Lemonade business thrives

Two enterprising 9-year-olds run a lemonade stand at the corner of Third and Van Buren. Reanna Brewi is saving up for the Alaska State Fair. Tegan Retzer is saving for a rainy day. For a dollar, they’re selling homemade lemonade and a treat, a chocolate-chip cookie. This is their second year in business. Some day, business is better than others. Last Thursday was quite slow, but the previous Thursday they earned a whopping $51 dollars, a great day to them. “It’s been good at teaching them the value of a dollar,” said Reanna’s mother, Tanya Brewi.
