Fireworks cruise benefits memorial
The best seat in the house for Seward’s Independcence Day fireworks display on July 3 will be aboard the M/V Star of the Northwest. The fundraising cruise for Seward’s Mariners’ Memorial will motor out Resurrection Bay to view marine wildlife in while indulging in an all-you-can-eat prime rib and Alaskan salmon buffet. The Spawning Humpies will entertain with their Alaska-flavored musical style and door prizes will be awarded.
The evening’s grand finale is the view of the fireworks from the bay.
Tickets are $125 per person with proceeds going to Seward Mariners’ Memorial’s continued construction. The main structure is complete and the first group of memorial plaques was dedicated May 19.
