Exit Glacier Run
Letter to the editor
Seward Parks & Recreation would like to express our gratitude to all who were involved with the Terry Pollard Memorial Exit Glacier Race on May 19. Many different parties come together for this event. Thank you to the Resurrection Roadhouse for providing the perfect headquarters and for use of their facilities. Thank you to the National Park Service for help with communications and for allowing our race to be held in such a beautiful setting. Thank you to the Seward Police Department, Alaska State Troopers and other volunteers associated with the Alaska Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Alaska. Thank you to our volunteers who help make operations run smoothly, specifically Kim Rogers for her 10-key expertise line, and Kris Erchinger for her quick thinking and multitasking on the finish line. Major kudos to Kenai Fjords Tours for providing bus transportation to all the participants. Finally many thanks to the family of Terry Pollard for their continued support.
