Eacker sentenced to 20 years
Jimmy Eacker, 58, was sentenced to 20 years on May 29 by Superior Court Judge Anna Moran for a manslaughter conviction in the death of Toni Lister, according to the Peninsula Clarion. On April 17, 1982 Lister’s body was found in the woods near the Seward city dump. A 2010 murder sentence of 99 years was overturned because evidence was withheld. In December Eacker pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
