Two arrested for theft
Seward police officers responded to a report of an alarm at the post office on the night of June 3, according to Seward Police Department. Officers apprehended two male subjects for multiple counts of burglary and attempted theft. The subjects were identified as 18-year-old, Steven Faigle and a 15-year-old accomplice. Faigle was booked and incarcerated at Seward City Jail. The 15-year-old was taken to SPD and later released to his parents. Investigation revealed that approximately 20 articles of mail were compromised. U.S. Postal Inspectors Service was contacted and an investigator arrived in Seward early in the morning of June 4. The compromised taken to Anchorage for forensic processing by the inspector and will later be returned to the addressees. SPD and USPS are working together to complete the investigation.
