Gala dinner cruise features writer Stabenow

A gala fundraising dinner cruise, with internationally-renowned writer Dana Stabenow, is set For Friday, June 15.
The 4-hour Seward Community Library fundraiser aboard Major Marine’s Star of the Northwest though the waters of Resurrection Bay features a gourmet prime rib and salmon dinner, a cash bar, marine sea life viewing and bidding on a variety of silent auction travel adventures.
On the cruise, besides getting books personally autographed from Dana Stabenow, cruise guests can also bid on an exclusive luncheon package for a private lunch with Stabenow the following day (June 16) at Ray’s Waterfront.
Other travel adventure auction items include two nights at the Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge, an overnight Ice Spa Massage package at the Anchorage Sheraton Hotel, and a full day fishing charter with Aurora Charters.
Tickets are available for $80 per person and by calling 907-362-1225. The cruise is scheduled to leave Seward at 6 p.m. and return by 10 p.m.
All proceeds from the cruise benefit the new Seward Community Library Museum, which is currently under construction and scheduled to be open in December.
