May 17

09:51 - 911 misdial received. Talked to caller on call back and all was OK.

11:46 - Individual requested an officer to Major Marine for an intoxicated male wearing a blue jacket with a yellow stripe. The male dumped out their cigarette container. Officer responded and contacted Edward Debrocky. Debrocky trespassed from Major Marine indefinitely.

11:47 - Maintenance personnel for Bayview Apartments requested an officer to the apartments to help resolve a dispute. Officer responded and contacted reporting party, who advised that one of the tenants, Ms. Finn, needed to be trespassed from an apartment while it was under construction and from reporting party’s apartment until further notice. Trespass warning issued.

12:16 - Individual reported that he was just given a 1-hour eviction notice from Christo’s Apartments and would like to talk to officer. Officer advised that reporting party was fired from Christo’s and asked to leave. Officer contacted reporting party and he left in a taxi.

13:54 - Individual from the city shop advised that Washington from Third to Fifth would be closed the following day for cleaning.

14:30 - Individual from Park and Rec Department requested an officer to remove an intoxicated male. Officer responded and contacted the subject at the campgrounds next to Harbor Light Condos. Subject was taken to PSMC. At 19:52 the subject was admitted to SCJ for protective custody. PBT .243.

14:36 - Individual from the Hotel Seward requested an officer for possible vandalism to a room. Officer contacted reporting party and informed that this case was a civil issue.

18:01 - Earthquake, preliminary magnitude 6.5, off the coast of southern Chile at a depth of 13 miles. No tsunami was expected.

18:22 - Verbal warning for Speed issued at Seward Highway and Airport Road.

1822 - The boat Seawolf at Slip 20 was reported to be taking on water. Left message on harbor on-call phone of pending problem.

May 18

02:15 - Caller reported an intoxicated male on Third near Adams. Caller believed the person to be too intoxicated to care for himself. Officer responded and contacted Ferris Penson. It was found that he had an outstanding warrant for Obstructing a Court Order. He was arrested and transported to SCJ.

03:52 - Ambulance requested to the Radiance of the Sea at the cruise ship terminal. A 40-year-old male was described as having cerebral confusion. PSMC was advised of his pending arrival prior to the tone.

11:54 - SFD issued a burn permit to 200 Resurrection Boulevard for the day only. Normal conditions applied. Owner would also call prior to starting the fire.

12:04 - Individual reported vandalism behind Alaska Waste and would like an officer. Officer responded.

12:11 - Individual reported a man “peeing” outside the job center. Officer responded and contacted the subject. Subject was given a verbal warning for public urination.

12:29 - Individual took a VISA debit card into SPD that was found in front of Thorn’s.

12:54 - Individual reported someone riding a bike in the center of the Seward Highway close to Safeway. Officer responded and was unable to locate.

13:30 - Fire alarm sounded at SCCC. SCCC was called, and they advised that they were cleaning the gym and kicked up dust. SVFD was advised.

15:00 - Citation for Violation Of Provisional License issued to Chet Brewi on Seward Highway next to Essential 1. Verbal warnings were also issued for Littering and Unsecured Load.

15:30 - Citation for Plates Not Properly Displayed And/Or Attached issued to Peter Yuk next to AVTEC dorms.

19:22 - Individual reported that a 21-year-old male boarded the tugboat Junior at approximately 01:00 hours looking for a charter boat. Reporting party also stated that he tried to enter another boat further down the dock. Information given to officer and forwarded to Harbormaster’s office. At 20:50 another individual reported similar descriptors of the male attempting to enter his boat at approximately 01:00 hours.

19:44 - Report of possible smoke or dust coming from the coal hopper. Fire officer was advised and asked to have an officer check area. Officer said no visible smoke and lots of employees around.

19:58 - 911 call from Seward Fisheries and static was all that was heard. Callback was busy. Officer arrived and found all to be fine.

22:21 - Individual stated that the fire hydrant at Fifth and Washington was bubbling water out the top. Public Works on-call advised.

23:16 - Individual requested that an officer do a welfare check on his son at Bear Drive.

23:25 - Seward Alehouse requested an officer for an intoxicated male who would not leave. Subject gone on arrival of officers.

May 19

00:52 - 911 call from Yukon Bar that there was a fight in progress. Carlson Kemmer, Jose Garces and Brock Jorgensen were contacted and all were given trespass advisements indefinitely.

01:48 - Caller complained of noise campgrounds on Ballaine. Subjects given verbal warning.

16:34 - Individual reported three intoxicated males sitting in the tunnel off Seward Highway by Three Bears. Officer made contact with two males, and found both subjects to be intoxicated and unable to care for themselves. Both transported to SCJ for Protective Custody.

17:37 - Individual requested to speak with an officer regarding received threats and verbal abuse involving his daughter. Officer spoke with reporting party.

18:03 - Citation issued for No Proof Of Insurance and verbal warning for Speed issued to Miranda Ramos at Third and A.

18:20 - SAST advised that a trooper arrested Steven Fisher II for Assault IV and was remanding to SCJ.

18:42 - SAST advised that a trooper arrested Katherine Simpson for Assault IV and was remanding to SCJ.

19:38 - Individual reported seeing three juveniles take money from a lockbox at the south end of the harbor parking lots. Officers made contact with juveniles and determined they were putting money into the box.

20:08 - Parking warning for Parking Into The Flow Of Traffic issued at Fourth and Washington.

20:59 - SAST advised that a trooper arrested Odell Ross for Domestic Violence Criminal Mischief III and was remanding to SCJ.

21:20 - Verbal warning for Speed issued at Third and B.

21:34 - PSMC requested an ambulance to transport a Guardian crew. SVAC toned out for an ETA of 22:10 hours.

22:07 - Report of three horses out of the corral on Phoenix. Officer made contact with owners and advised they needed to secure the gate better and future contacts could result in citation.

May 20

05:10 - 911 caller at the Taroka Inn reported that an unknown person had been knocking on her door for about 20 minutes. Officer responded and contacted reporting party. She had locked herself out of her house. Her husband let her back in the residence.

10:14 - Individual turned in a fishing pole that belonged to AKDFG that was as AVTEC First Lake.

12:55 - Individual reported an intoxicated male near the pedestrian tunnel by Resurrection Boulevard. Officer responded and made contact with subject.

14:44 - Harbor Office wanted extra patrols in the area of the dumpster in front of Harbormaster’s Office. Harbor advised getting reports of individual dumping commercial trash in there.

14:51 - Verbal warning for Failure To Put Registration Tab On License Plate issued at Seward and Hemlock.

15:30 - 911 hang up call from Soo’s B&B. Callback revealed misdial and all was OK. Officer advised.

16:00 - Individual dropped off meds for destruction.

17:38 - Caller reported an intoxicated male at the Breeze Inn. Robert Maldonado advised he was permanently trespassed from the Breeze Inn bar.

22:49 - Caller stated that there were three dogs next door and they would not stop barking.

23:14 - Officers contacted campers in Forest Acres Campground and it was closed. Subjects asked to extinguish fire and leave premise.

May 21

00:52 - 911 caller advised that his daughter’s stepfather made threats to the family while staying at the Breeze Inn. Officers responded and contacted John Hillborn. Police. After conducting interviews with the family, Hillborn was arrested for Assault and transported to SCJ.

07:21 - Caller advised that a tree was down across Lowell Point Road and blocking traffic. Public Works notified.

12:30 - Cassandra Mackey remanded herself to SCJ on a SAST warrant.

12:32 - Trooper arrested Gregory Conley at the Pit Bar for Drunk On License Premise. Conley taken to PSMC. PBT .311

12:32 - Public Works advised that signs were up on Fifth from Jefferson to Railway for cleaning the following morning.

15:17 - Individual from Harbormaster’s Office reported three vehicles next to the 50-ton lift on Port Avenue. The vehicles were blocking the lift. Officer responded.

17:11 - Caller reported there were two boys, approximately 9 and 11 years old, playing with knives at the Seward Park, then walking to Skateboard Park. Officer responded and found that the knives were plastic. The boys were told not to display them anymore.

18:09 - Individual reported there were four juveniles at the playground fighting and appeared to be vandalizing.

18:51 - Burn permit issued for the day only for 200 Resurrection with conditions to extinguish if wind picked up.

18:55 - Individual went to police department to speak with officer about putting name in paper.

20:02 - Ambulance requested at Seward Jail for 53-year-old male having chest pains. Ambulance/Seward Fire toned

20:49 - Officer contacted David Tom at Taroka Inn and arrested him for for Assault IV Domestic Violence. Subject transported to SCJ.

23:15 - Callers from Forest Acres reported the power was out. Electric Company notified.

23:53 - 911 caller wanted phone number to SCJ. Caller was given business line number.

May 22

02:22 - Electric Department advised that most are up with power and they would work on rest of the issues in the morning.

07:50 - 911 misdial with background noise but no talking. The noise sounded like someone walking. No answer on callback.

10:38 - Individual reported a vehicle passing in the turn lane at Levee Road and Seward Highway headed north. Troopers and officer notified.

11:00 - Individual reported the theft of $25,000 to $30,000 worth of jewelry from her mother.

12:38 - Individual took several bottles of pills to Seward Police to be destroyed.

14:00 - Report of a power outage behind Ace Hardware on Leirer Road. Electric Department was notified and was working on it.

14:10 - Adin Richardson charged with False Report.

16:53 - Partial power outage reported at Seward Heavy Industrial Power. Power company notified.

23:45 - Caller reported a white truck, with white topper with caribou on the back, had crossed the center line approximately eight times and was headed toward waterfront campground.

May 23

01:03 - Verbal warning for Headlight issued at the south 72-hour lot.

01:35 - Earthquake, magnitude 4.1, 65 miles southwest of Homer at a depth of 52 miles. No tsunami would be generated.

02:22 - Individual reported an intoxicated male was staggering from Tony’s Bar and walking eastbound on Railway. Officer responded and made contact with subject. Officer advised subject had a small laceration from falling down, but refused an ambulance. Officer transported subject to PSMC. PBT .294

04:52 - Individual advised there was a male inside her vehicle in the Safeway parking lot. Officer made contact with subject. Officer advised reporting party did not wish to press charges. Officer provided transport for subject to his residence.

07:55 - Caller on SPD admistrative line and yelled, “I need an ambulance at Ravenquest, now!” Caller then hung. All call back attempts failed.

09:49 - Odell Ross charged with Criminal Mischief IV while incarcerated at SCJ.

10:16 - 911 abandoned call from The Holiday Inn Express. Talked to front desk on call back and found that it was children playing on the phone and that all was OK.

11:27 - Individual reported a green backpack behind a gravel pill next to Levee Road. Officer responded and found a green backpack.

11:39 - Individual from the Harbor Department reported a vehicle illegally parked next to the 50-ton lift on Port Avenue, and would like and officer to try and contact owner for removal. Vehicle impounded and towed by Glacier Towing.

12:45 - Citation for Parking Against The Flow Of Traffice issued to Travis Koso on Fourth next to the Small Boat Harbor.

14:07 - 911 reports of vehicles driving crazily at each other at Fourth and Madison. Officer responded and arrested Nichole Collinson for Domestic Violence Assault IV and Domestic Violence Criminal Mischief. Collinson transported to SCJ.

14:39 - 911 misdial from Hotel Seward. Talked to manager and all was OK.

16:25 - 911 misdial from TelAlaska and callback revealed all was fine.

16:47 - Individual reported three juveniles jumped the fence at the Jesse Lee Home. All involved were given a criminal trespass warning.

May 24

01:05 - Sean Pearson stopped on Fourth for Speeding and Crossing Traffic Lines. Pearson arrested for DUI and transported to SCJ. PBT .112

02:20 - Individual at Tony’s Bar stated that a male wanted to go to the hospital. She believed he was simply intoxicated. Officer responded and contacted subject. He was intoxicated, but also complaining of chest pain and nausea. Officer provided him transportation to PSMC.

05:07 - Officer escorted Wounded Warriors into town from Metco ending at Harbormaster’s office.

10:54 - 911 caller reported that a toddler just walked into her driveway on Resurrection Boulevard wearing only a diaper. Officer found all to be OK.

11:16 - Individual reported a red canvas bag with tools was lost or stolen from his vehicle on Third in the previous week.

11:49 - Individual reported 20 fire rings valued at $2,350 were stolen from the Air Force Rec Camp. Officer responded and found that the rings were taken between Sept. 30 and May 23.

13:30 - Individual reported his Surly Cross Check Road Bike was lost or stolen from in front of the Yukon Bar during the night.

14:00 - Individual reported that her coat was lost or stolen at the park a week before and she saw someone wearing it and walking north on Seward Highway. Officer contacted subject who stated he found the coat at the playground and could find no owner for it. Officer recovered the coat and returned it to the owner’s parents.

20:30 - Verbal warning for Failure To Stop At Stop Sign issued at Third and Adams.

21:13 - Verbal warning for Speed issued at Seward Highway and Sea Lion.
