May 3

23:49 - Verbal warning for Taillight Out issued on Airport Road.

May 4

08:50 - Individual reported that someone threw eggs and pancake mix on her vehicle in the north parking lot of Bayside Apartments. Officer responded.

08:52 - AVTEC Maritime called to inform the police department that they were conducting flare exercises on the east side of Resurrection Bay.

09:43 - Fire department advised that a Burn Permit was issued to Metco, 2701 Seward Highway, for May 4 only. Normal conditions apply.

10:28 - Seward Mountain Haven Eagle Lodge requested an ambulance for a 77-year-old female.

13:13 - Soldotna Alaska State Troopers reported an abandoned Phase 2 911 call. All was OK on callback. Information passed to officer.

14:26 - Verbal warning for Improper Display of Tags issued at Fourth and Port Avenue.

17:12 - 911 abandoned call. Callback revealed a child accidentally dialed 911. Officer made contact with reporting party and confirmed all was fine.

19:00 - 911 caller reported a vehicle swerving and driving erratically on Nash Road. Reporting party believed the vehicle’s direction of travel was southbound. Officer made contact with driver in the Safeway parking lot and advised negative DUI.

19:43 - Citation for Parking On The Crosswalk issued to Angela Whitinger in front of Christo’s. Whitinger advised of her suspended status and released vehicle to Tawni Whitinger.

20:13 - 911 caller reported that she was receiving harassing text messages from an unknown phone number. Advised reporting party that an officer would contact her.

20:33 - 911 call received from the Breeze Inn Restaurant area. Callback revealed it was a pocket dial. Information given to officer.

21:00 - Written warning for Parking In A No Parking Zone issued.

21:17 - 911 caller requested ambulance for a previous stroke victim having pain in her arm and also inebriated. Officers secured scene and SVAC/SVFD dispatched.

22:33 - 911 abandoned call from 1907 Seward Highway ­­— Safeway. Callback revealed someone hit the elevator 911 while loading stock boxes.

May 5

03:45 - Ambulance dispatched to Bear Drive for a female who was not feeling well and having trouble standing. SVAC/SVFD responded. Subject transported to the hospital.

19:29 - Verbal warning for Speed issued at Third and Monroe.

May 6

10:16 - 911 abandoned call from 1907 Seward Highway ­­— Safeway. Callback revealed someone accidently hit the elevator 911 button. Information given to officer.

10:48 - Providence Seward Medical Center requested an ambulance to transport the Guardian crew from the airport. SVAC toned out. Transport delayed until further notice by PSMC.

14:57 - Wounded rabbit reported at 531 Ballaine and a request for an officer to remove the animal. Officer removed the animal.

18:10 - Suspicious activity reported about a van in the parking lot at Wells Fargo bank. Officer made contact with the individual and they were waiting for their tire to be fixed and would leave the next day.

19:47 - Soldotna Troopers advised of a 911 call that was hitting the tower on Ash where a female subject was reporting being hit by her boyfriend. It was finally determined that the subject was on Exit Glacier Road.

May 7

07:53 - Person brought to Seward Police, an HTC Inspire, 4G, that was found in front of Alaska Nellie’s.

08:27 - Fire Department advised that a Burn Permit was issued to Metco at 2701 Seward Highway for May 7 and 8. Normal conditions apply.

11:41 - Individual brought in a brown/metallic gold boy’s Edge Road Master Mountain bike. Reporting party stated that the bike was at Fourth and Washington.

12:12 - Individual reported finding human remains, cell phone and clothes by Knot So Fast Feed and Marine. Troopers advised.

15:46 - Individual reported a Motor Vehicle Accident with damage at Subway. Officer responded.

May 8

01:33 - Guardian Security called for alarm sounding at the Fish House. Officer and contact person responded. All clear.

06:14 - Individual reported that a branch on a power line was arcing. Electric company notified.

08:38 - Individual reported finding a dog at in the 600 block of Sixth. Message left for Animal Control Officer. ACO reported that they would take care of it.

09:00 - Multiple 911 calls reported a boom truck turned over at on T-Dock. Boom truck operator Felix Morales was pronounced deceased on scene at 09:19 by SVAC. Next of kin notified at 11:01.

10:59 - 911 misdial. Callback revealed all sounded OK on the line. Information passed to officer.

11:24 - Alaska Railroad reported that one of their Big Black Tie Up Bumpers broke loose during the night.

12:04 - Fire Department reported that a burn permit was issued to Alaska Waste at 3200 Diamond Boulevard for May 8 and 9. Normal conditions apply.

13:47 - Caller requested to speak to an officer about a noise complaint that happened in morning between 03:00 and 04:00 hours.

16:38 - An eviction notice was served on a resident at in the 500 block of First.

16:32 - Resident in the 500 block of First advised that while he was gone someone delivered three rolls of linoleum that did not belong to him. Delivery company was contacted and they retrieved the items.

16:49 - Ambulance dispatched to Meridian Park for a male subject experiencing a rapid heartbeat and not feeling well. BCVFD/SVAC dispatched. Subject transported to the hospital.

19:22 - A 4-wheeler was reported on the highway in the area by Apex Gym. Troopers advised.

May 9

00:02 - Officer responded to F Float to check on possible fire on the back of a boat. Officer advised no fire, just reflection in the water.

01:32 - Guardian Security reported fire alarm at Glacierview Apartments. SVFD/SVAC dispatched.

13:16 - Kenai Fjord National Parks called to report that they would conduct flare exercises on the east side of Resurrection Bay from 14:30 to 15:30.

14:21 - Citation issued to Odell Homer for Expired Registration.

14:47 - Individual went to the Police Department to report an attended death at Fifth and Adams, and needed officers and medics. SVFD/SVAC notified and responding.

17:14 - Ambulance requested to Midnight Sun for a 70-year-old female who fell the day before and had not been able to get up. SVAC/SVFD dispatched.

18:15 - Gateway Apartment’s manager requested an officer for a noisy tenant who was playing loud music and would not turn it down. Officer made contact with subject and issued him a verbal warning for Noise Complaint.

19:23 - Guardian Securities reported a fire alarm sounding at 913 Port in the Railroad terminal. SVAC/SVFD dispatched.

22:08 - Verbal warning for Headlights in the South Boat Harbor area.
