Carole Jean Norton
Sunshine, Alaska resident Carole Jean Norton, 57, passed away at her home on April 17, 2012.
Her remains will be scattered with her brother and dad on Mount Alice by Seward.
Carole was born in Tacoma, Wash. on Dec. 25, 1954. She graduated from Seward High School and became a dental assistant for many years, then pursued other medical field careers, medical billing and reception. Carole lived in Seward until 1973, she lived in Anchorage until 2002 and then moved onto Sunshine, Alaska.
Early on in life she dedicated her heart to Jesus. She attended a Catholic Church. Carole enjoyed beading, crafts, riding horses, fishing, and she very recently tried zumba and yoga.
Her family writes, “Carole was a devoted wife and mother. She was very much loved by all her family and will be missed greatly. She had a beautiful smile and was very generous. Family was very important to her. She would do anything she could to help someone in need.
Survivors include her daughter Teresa Colwell; husband Virgil Norton; brother Eddie Johnson; sisters Marie Gage, and Beckie Lockett; nieces Aprille Cage, Windi Hibbetts, Julie Deboard, Tiffany Siller, Faye Wheeler, Amanda and Edora Zinis; nephews Shane Gage, William Gage, Jonathon Gage, and Quinton Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her mother Isabel Johnson, father Oscar Johnson, and brother Clifford Johnson.
