Dwain ‘Randy’ E. Randolph

Sept. 20, 1936 – April 10, 2012

 

Randy Randolph was born in Winona, Missouri. He died of uranium lung cancer due to working in the uranium mines before moving to Alaska where he worked for 36 years as a heavy equipment operator.

Randy passed away at home with family by his side. Randy enjoyed garage sales and going to lunch with his buddies Dennis and Rick. He also enjoyed spending time with family and being outside working in his yard with is parrot “Chuckie.”

He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years Bonnie Jean of Silverton; son Larry and Kathy of Anchorage; daughter Vicky and Rudy of Seward; stepson August of Portland, Stephan and Lisa of Seattle; step-daughter Pam and Robin of Seward, Diana and Rex of Seward; adopted children Jeff and Kathy of Silverton, Tyler, Justin, Lisa and Lucy; grandchildren, Randy, Joe, Raymond of Anchorage; step-grandchildren Brandon of Iowa, Amy, Lindsay and Keegan all of Fairbanks, Ericka of Seward, Tate of Seattle, Isabelle of Portland, Chandler of Portland, Casey of Iowa, Shaylene, Cassie, Nick, Shawna all of Colorado; six great-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; sisters Linda of Nevada, Bonnie and Sue both of California, Cathy of Texas; sister-in-laws Wilma of Texas and Novelle of Silverton. He is also survived by many special friends and his loving bird Chuckie. He preceded in death by his father, Joseph, son, Chuckie, brother, Jay and brother-in-law Frank.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. May 12 in Silverton Mobile Estates Club House. Arrangements are by Unger Funeral Chapel.
