Create Your Own Ceramics Drop In Class is 2-5 p.m. Saturdays in the AVTEC Ceramics Room. Each session is $5. It takes at least three classes to complete a ceramic project.

Middle School Semi Formal Dance, 7:30-10:30 p.m. April 20. The fee is $5. The DJ is T Dubbs

Summer Camp Early Bird registration has begun. The 12-week program, which is open to first through sixth graders, features physical activities in and around Seward such as hiking, playing sports, local playgrounds, crafts and more.

TYC Adventure Camp is an active camp designed for fifth through seventh graders. The adventures include kayaking, camping, baseball games and clam digging. Early registration is open.

After School Program — 3:15-5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Teen and Youth Center staffs the recreational program for youth in grades K-6. The ASP emphasizes cooperative play, team building, leadership opportunities, homework help, physical activities, outdoor play and crafts of all sorts in a socially rich environment. Participants can take Bus 3 to the TYC. Sign up at the TYC or call 224-5472 for information.

Pink Cheeks Triathlon space is still available for the race at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5. The race season begins with the 21st annual Polar Bear Pink Cheeks Triathlon. Pink Cheeks is open to all ages and ability levels. The race consists of a 5-kilometer run, 10-kilometer bike and 900-yard pool swim. Participants can sign up as a team or compete solo. Super Saturday Cleanup is Saturday, May 12. Participants will help clean up the litter and trash around town. There are prizes, donated by local businesses, for those who collect the most trash. Collection bags can be picked up at Sports and Rec from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A hot dog feed and awards ceremony begins at 6 p.m. at Branson Pavilion. For information call SPRD at 224-4054.

Terry Tires Bike Rodeo is 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 12. Children, elementary school age and younger, are invited to visit bike stations including mechanic’s alley for a free tune up. The Seward Police Department will sponsor Enjoy hot dogs and chips at the Chuck Wagon, and at Shoreside’s Helmet Junction you can be fitted for a helmet for only $5.

Exit Glacier Run begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 19. The 30th annual Terry Pollard Memorial Exit Glacier Race is open to all ages and ability levels. The race consists of a 5-kilometer or 10-kilometer run on a paved road with a gradual decline. The awards ceremony follows the race at 11:30 a.m. at the Resurrection Roadhouse. Register early to reserve a spot in this year’s race.

Kids Fish Day is 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, May 19 at 1st Lake. The free event includes trout fishing, free hot dogs, prizes donated by local businesses and a raffle that begins at noon. A parent or guardian must accompany each child.
