Aviation careers and job fair planned

The Alaska Aviation Careers and Airport Job Fair is planned for March 24 at the North Terminal of Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, 4600 Postmark Road in Anchorage. There is no fee to attend, and parking at the North Terminal Lot is free to those who attend the event.

The Alaska Aviation Careers and Airport Job Fair is a collaborative effort between the Federal Aviation Administration Aviation Education program, Alaska Department of Labor, and the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities. It is expected to showcase approximately 400 available seasonal, full time and part time jobs at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. The job fair will run from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The Alaska Aviation Careers portion of the event will showcase seminars in career opportunities in aviation. Speakers will begin at 11 a.m and will end at 2 p.m. “It’s our goal to educate people about the variety of careers available and their respective education requirements. From pilot to air traffic control, airport management to police and fire, there are great prospects for lifetime careers in aviation related fields,” said Linda Bustamante, spokeswoman for DOT&PF Statewide Aviation.
