Police LOG — Feb. 23, 2012

 


Feb. 13

23:46 - Individual requested an officer to check on a condo on Lowell Canyon Drive. Reporting party stated the owners were out of town, and they were hearing noises from the condo. Officers responded and cleared condo.

Feb. 14

06:59 - Verbal warning for Failure To Stop At Stop Sign issued on Frontage Road by AVTEC at the railroad tracks.

08:10 - School bus driver advised that a dark sedan passed his bus while his red no-passing lights were illuminated at Bear and Jesse Lee drives. Officer advised.

17:58 - Officer responded to a motor vehicle accident at Seward Highway and Port Avenue. No injuries reported. Driver of the fault vehicle, Erik Moore, issued a citation for Failure To Stop. The other driver, James Stark issued a summons for Driving While License Revoked.

Feb. 15

08:56 - Individual advised that she dropped her wallet in the back loading area of AVTEC.

09:30 - Public Works advised that the road is open for now.

11:33 - Individual advised that the road conditions were poor and visibility was zero in the pass and on the Arm.

12:10 - Soldotna Dispatch advised of a motor vehicle accident with entrapment and injuries at Mile 4 Seward Highway. BCVD/SVAC dispatched. SVFD also dispatched at the request of Bear Creek. Lifeguard was put on standby through the hospital. Two patients were transported to the hospital.

12:10 - Officer responded to the assist with traffic control at the above accident.

13:49 - 911 hang up call from the Boys and Girls Club. Callback to the school was placed. They checked and there was no problem. No one was using the phone.

14:09 - Earthquake, preliminary magnitude 5.2, 135 miles east of Amchitka at a depth 50 miles. No tsunami.

15:02 - Public Works advised that the road is open for now.

16:49 - Ambulance requested to the airport to transport a U.S. Air Force helicopter crew to the hospital. They later cancelled and landed at the hospital.

16:59 - 911 call came from Samson Tug and Barge at on Port Avenue. Only equipment was heard in the background. Officer responded to investigate. Upon arrival, he found that the building appeared to be unoccupied.

18:50 - Ambulance requested to the hospital to transport the second patient to the USAF helicopter at the airport. They would be transporting the second patient and weather prevented them from landing at the hospital.

19:28 - Verbal warning issued for Taillights.

19:47 - Animal Control Officer responded to a report of an injured dog in the alley between Jefferson and Madison on Fifth. She requested an officer to assist her in putting down the dog. Its injuries were too bad for veterinary care. Officer responded.

20:07 - An ER nurse requested an ambulance to the 2000 block of Dora Way for a male might have overdosed on his medication. SVAC and SVFD responded.

21:09 - Individual reported a fight at an apartment at Bayside. Officer responded and the parties had separated.
