Police LOG — Feb. 16, 2012


Feb. 6
06:13 - Glacier Taxi advised of an motor vehicle accident at Pacific Park parking lot and two people screaming at each other. Officer responded and made contact with a subject who advised that there was no accident and the argument was over backing out a vehicle.
09:01 - Motor vehicle accident reported at AVTEC. A Bobcat slid into a vehicle.
09:05 - Trees in the power line reported at Mile 29 Seward Highway. Moose Pass Volunteer Fire Department dispatched. Chugach Electric advised.
10:21 - A resident in the 2500 block of Birch called and advised that snow slid off the roof and took out the power service. Live sparking wires were on his roof. SVFD/SVAC dispatched. Electric Department responded and disconnected the service.
11:44 - Case number issued to officer for a welfare check case.
17:38 - Individual reported a motor vehicle accident just north of The Pit Bar. SVAC/BCVFD dispatched.
19:19 - Verbal warning for Expired Registration issued near Port and Leirer.
22:13 - Summons for DWLS Failure To Insure issued to Ryan Parsons between Third and Fourth, and Madison. Verbal warnings for No Valid OLN and Trailer Lights also issued.

Feb. 7
07:55 - Verbal warning for Taillights issued at Seward Highway and Sea Lion.
11:28 - Civil standby on F Float to retrieve a sail from a vessel.
12:24 - Individual advised that as they came out of the building at the high school, they heard a number of shots coming from the mountain area behind the school. Officers checked the area and found individuals in the creek bed by the range. They were advised to return to the range and wait for wildlife to leave the area.
14:01 - Signs were put out on Fourth from Jefferson to Washington for the following morning. Street was to be totally clear by 05:00.
17:03 - Individual reported a gun was stolen in the previous 4 months from Bayside Apartments. Information entered into the stolen book. Stolen gun entered into APSIN.
20:26 - Individual reported she lost her wallet.
23:24 - 911 caller reported a suspicious person on a boat in the 4 Seasons Boatyard. Officer made contact with subject who stated that he was part owner of the boat.

Feb. 8
08:32 - Moose reported on the tracks near the airport. ARRC notified.
10:30 - Caller spoke with officer about his missing wallet. Incident occurred at the Polar Seafoods Bunkhouse. He was referred to Alaska State Patrol.
11:30 - Individual spoke with officer about her missing purse and wallet. A credit card had been used.
19:09 - Individual requested an SVFD officer to his residence on Fifth to inspect water possibly coming through wiring. Fire officer responded.

Feb. 9
01:11 - Individual from Glacier Taxi reported there was a lot of water on the three bridges. Alaska DOT advised.
08:04 - Individual advised that there was a female running around in stocking feet and no coat at Mile 7. She advised the subject fell and was all wet. When they stopped to ask if they could give them a ride, the subject declined and said she needed to find her dog. Information given to Alaska State Troopers.
09:29 - Individual advised that someone fell off the roof and was buried in snow. The subject had uncovered their face and possibly had a broken arm. SVFD/SVAC dispatched to Cedar. Subject was removed from the snow and refused treatment.
10:52 - Agency assist follow up with a local business and some surveillance tapes. Safeway Security was advised and would contact Seward Police Department if they need further assistance.
11:23 - Driving hazard reported on the new road to the dump. A section of heavy chain was in the northbound lane. Public Works advised and they would retrieve it.
21:49 - Probation Officer Myers requested that Sara Talamantes be taken into custody from Tony’s Bar on a probation violation. Officers advised and contacted Talamantes inside Tony’s Bar and arrested her for a probation violation. Talamantes transported to Seward Community Jail. PBT .016.
22:54 - Individual reported a male, dressed all in black, wandering around Fourth next to the Peking Restaurant. Reporting party advised he, “Looks like he might be a danger to himself or someone else.” Officer advised. Upon further investigation the male was found to be Dewey Eager. AVTEC personal requested that Eager be advised that he was trespassed from all AVTEC properties indefinitely.

Feb. 10
04:00 - 911 caller from The Alaska Heart Institute requested an ambulance to Glacier View Apartments for a 70-year-old female having heart problems.
07:52 - Individual reported that a hitchhiking female and a male on a bicycle at the three bridges were hindering traffic. Officer spoke with male and he was walking his bike across because there is no path. Officer did not see anyone hitchhiking as far north as Stoney Creek.
08:55 - Officer requested a case for information-only regarding an incident at the dump.
09:31 - Seward Community Library Museum requested that Stephen Faigle be criminally trespassed from there for one year due to attempted theft.
14:15 - A caller spoke with officer regarding a possible infestation at Kimberly Court apartments. Officer is investigating.
14:30 - Ambulance requested to the 200 block of Bear Drive for a male patient who needed a non-emergency transport.
17:10 - Individual reported that after landing his aircraft, he hit a pothole causing the nose of the plane to strike the ice and tip to the side. Officer advised.
17:16 - Verbal warning issued for Passing In An Unsafe Passing Zone.

Feb. 11
00:14 - Individual requested an officer at the AVTEC dorms for a minor consuming. Officer advised and contacted Derek Barr and issued him a Minor Consuming citation. PBT .118.
12:00 - Officers were present at the Wellness Fair at the Elks Club from 12:00-13:30.
15:49 - Individual reported Stephen Faigle was in the library. Officer arrived and issued Faigle his trespass advisement.
15:55 - Individual reported dirty looking smoke coming from the roof of the AVTEC building on Second. SVAC/SVFD dispatched.
15:59 - Avtanom Reutov arrested on a Soldotna Alaska State Troopers warrant for Remand Hearing, OC NVOL. No bail, 10 days to serve. From Mile 47.
16:54 - Per fire officer, effective 17:30-09:00 all fire calls would be covered by BCVFD. SVFD will have five responders in addition and will be also toned for any fire/medical calls.
14:10 - Individual reported a snow machine disturbance at Oak. Officer advised and upon arrival found no tracks or sign of the snow machine.
14:10 - Cell phone turned in on previous shift from an unknown person, entered into found book and case entered in APSIN.
22:34 - Phillip Skinner was arrested for two counts of MICS and one MICS VI, remanded at the Seward Community Jail.
22:22 - Individual complained that a Glacier Taxi driver was honking the horn and flashing the lights while driving behind him. Officer spoke with taxi driver on the phone.

Feb. 12
00:20 - Nolan Ogle-Endresen arrested for DUI, DWLR/VCOR and remanded to Seward Community Jail.
19:50 - Individual reported that the gate to the new library construction area was open with just the chain hanging. Officer arrived and couldn’t close the gates because of ice obstruction.
10:20 - Snow slides on Lowell Point Road. Public Works advised and responded.
10:35 - Large puddle reported on Lowell Point Road by the fish hatchery.
14:39 - Individual reported that the old garage at the corner of Fourth and Madison collapsed sometime during the night. Fire officer advised and requested electric crew respond and shut off the power to the building.
15:00 - Individual reported a male, wearing a baseball cap, jacket and jeans, was staggering in the roadway at Mile 4. He was headed north. Alaska State Trooper dispatch advised.

Feb. 13
06:31 - Citations for Failure To Carry Proof Of Insurance and Taillight Requirements issued to Christopher Monnier at Seward Highway and Coolidge. Verbal warning for Brake Lights also issued.
07:32 - 911 abandoned call from Marathon Drive. Callback revealed all was OK and no one called. Officer advised.
08:49 - Verbal warning for Not Having Current Tags Displayed issued at Seward Highway and Hemlock.
10:06 - Building Department inspected the collapsed building at the corner of Fourth and Madison. They would contact the owners.
15:32 - Public Works requested an officer to Third and Jefferson for an accident involving a loader and a minivan. Officer responded.
15:57 - Individual reported a male at the bottom of Dairy Hill was acting strange and wanted an officer to check on him. Officer advised and was unable to locate.
16:48 - Individual from the Alaska Railroad reported that the train was stopped, blocking several roadways out the Bear Lake area. Individual stated that they would get it moved as soon as possible.
17:02 - 911 call from the high school elevator. Heard talking in far background but no answer. No answer on call back. Information given to officer.
18:31 - Individual reported a small avalanche on Lowell Point Road.
