Hollingsworth wins Raven Electric Championship
Dori Hollingsworth of Seward won the Raven Electric 10-Dog Championship Feb. 3-5 at Alaska Sled Dog and Racing Association’s Tozier Track in Anchorage. Hollingsworth and her dogs came in first all three days of the 10-mile race. With heavy snow, wind and 20 degree temperature she ran the course with a time of 35:38. Saturday was clear and 15 degrees, and the team came in with a time of 30:31. On the cloudy and 20 degree Sunday they finished the course in 29:39. Hollingsworth’s accumulated time of 95:15 brought home the $850 top prize.
