Police Log—Jan. 12, 2012


Dec. 30

12:43 - Seward Mountain Haven called to advise that they would be performing fire drills in three of their buildings and that they would call back when finished. At 13:38 they called back to advise that they had finished all of the fire drills for the day.

12:50 - 911, fire drill, received from Seward Mountain Haven commons building.

12:59 - 911 open line call received from Safeway store. Line was busy on ring back. Safeway front desk was contacted and they advised that there was no emergency. Officer advised.

13:01 - 911, fire drill, received from Seward Mountain Haven’s Lupin Lodge.

13:19 - 911, fire drill, received from Seward Mountain Haven’s Raven House.

15:11 - Individual reported that a male came into her shop who smelled of alcohol and seemed stumble while he walked. He left the shop and drove away, northbound, from the shop on Fourth. Officer contacted the vehicle and driver near 1803 Swetmann Ave. Officer determined that the driver was not intoxicated.

15:15 - Individual reported that he lost his wallet. He advised that it was a black leather wallet with his Alaska driver’s license, CIB card, Food Stamp card and hunting/fishing license inside.

15:52 - Verbal warning for Driving with Parking Lights Illuminated issued at Mile 2.5 Seward Highway.

16:09 - Verbal warning for Driving without Headlights Illuminated issued at Seward Highway and Sea Lion.

1631 - Individual reported that she found a golden retriever without any tags on Salmon Creek Rd. Animal Control Officer contacted.

Dec. 31

03:23 - Fire reported at Salmon Creek Trailer Park. All parties were evacuated. BCVFD, SVFD and SVAC toned and responded. Once the fire was put out, the residents were advised that the structure was no longer habitable.

22:36 - Bartender at the Alehouse reported that an intoxicated male was refusing to leave. Contacted Porfirio Zamora, Jr. A taxi was called per officer request. Criminal trespass issued not to be in the Alehouse indefinitely.

22:55 - Individual advised while driving Porfirio Zamora, Jr, home to 4 Seasons Boat Yard, he jumped out of the cab and went into the Breeze Inn Lounge. Officers had advised him not to go into bars that night. Officers responded to the Breeze, contacted and arrested Zamora for Drunk on Licensed Premises.

Jan. 1

02:10 - A fight in progress was reported from of the Yukon Bar. Officers responded and contacted two females. Both parties left in separate taxis.

02:27 - Individual was taken from the downtown area to Seward Community Jail and placed into protective custody.

02:30 - A female was picked up by an officer in the downtown area. She was intoxicated and disoriented. She was released to a friend at Seward Police Department.

04:04 - Individual reported that her friend had been assaulted while in Mike’s Taxi returning from the Pit Bar. Officer made contact with subjects while walking on the Seward Highway near Sea Lion. Jeremy Marr arrested by summons for Assault IV.

06:11 - Individual advised that it sounded like his neighbor was beating a female in the room next to his. Officer responded and contacted subject. Jaime Doleman arrested for Assault IV and Interfering with the report of Domestic Violence. He was transported to Seward Community Jail.

17:00 - Individual lost a silver money clip with credit and debit cards attached. Unknown where he lost it.

18:56 - Individual reported he lost his wallet the night before after leaving the Yukon. Described as a black leather eel skin tri-fold wallet. It contained his I.D., Social Security card, birth certification, credit and debit cards. No cash.

19:25 - Communications Alaska advised of a burglar alarm at the front entry of Three Bears. Officer advised doors are secure. An audible alarm was sounding outside of the building. Officer waited for the responding employee to arrive. Nobody responded. The audible alarm did stop. Building appeared secure.

20:20 - Communications Alaska advised of a second burglar alarm sounding again at Three Bears. They contacted a contact who responded and met with the officer. Building was secured and alarm reset.

20:29 - Individual reported that Nolan Ogle hit a car at Bear Creek RV Park and he was causing a disturbance. Ogle-Endresen was arrested for DUI, DWLR, BTR and Criminal Mischief IV.

Jan. 2

05:23 - Wells Fargo Security called and reported that they had lost all communication with their ATM machine indicating power failure. They requested an officer do a check on the building. Officer responded and found the building secure and the ATM appeared to be working.

06:59 - Wells Fargo Security called and requested the outcome of the security check earlier. They stated that the ATM is question is actually the Wells Fargo ATM at Essential One. Officer responded to check that machine. Machine appeared operative and no complaints from customers to the employees.

16:09 - 911 caller reported he was at Seward Plumbing about an hour before and was waited on by an employee. He stopped back and the door was unlocked but the lights were off and nobody answered when he called for someone. He was concerned the person earlier was ill or that someone could come in and take things. Dispatch contacted company contact who responded and locked the door.

17:00 - Individual brought in a green and white snowboard which she found on her way to work on Dec. 31. The owner came and retrieved the snowboard.

17:05 - Individual reported a juvenile threw a rock at his vehicle while driving by Seward Plumbing. Officer met with the reporting party at the parking lot of Seward Plumbing. No damage to vehicle. Officer contacted three juveniles by the Seaman’s Mission and spoke with them regarding the incident. Officer spoke with a parent of one of the juveniles and would attempt to contact the other two later that night.

23:24 - 911 caller reported the vehicle he was riding in hit a moose on the three bridges and the moose was injured. Upon arrival, the moose had run off.

Jan. 3

10:36 - Caller advised that he had slid and hit a vehicle that was parked in the parking lot at the harbor. Officer responded

12:26 - SVAC dispatched to the airport to pick up the medivac crew.

12:27 - A report was received in reference to threats via text message from one student to another. Officer responded and spoke with the parties involved.

12:32 - Individual from Safeway requested an officer as they had Virginia “Ginger” Retzer in custody. Officer responded and issued her a summons. Criminal trespass advisement was entered into APSIN.

14:52 - SVFD/SVAC were dispatched to Dairy Hill Lane for a female who was on the floor and could not get up. Her legs would not support her. She was transported to the hospital.
